Race Results for 2012 are in!!!!!

Please join us for our 2nd Annual Brazos Bend 'KEEP On TRUCKIN' Trail Races on the Trails at Brazos Bend State Park.  We are so excited to team up with Brazos Bend State Park to offer this incredible venue.
The Course is Absolutely Beautiful!  The trails run along side several lakes offering great views of the park.  The Half and Full Marathon is 95-98% gravel trails and NO CONCRETE RUNNING and the 50k will add an additional 5.5 miles with some challenging dirt trails.  The course is almost entirely shaded with beautiful wildlife.  We have strategically placed the water stops next to Clean Restrooms on the course.

Brazos Bend State Park offers 35 miles of beautiful hike and bike trails.  Some of the trails take you off the beaten path into the hardwood forest.  Plus with a huge amount of wildlife in the park including, alligators, deer, hogs, waterfowl and birds, your outdoor experience will be truly enhanced and enjoyable.  The park staff is eager to make this race a wonderful experience for the competitors as well as the spectators.

Event Details
Half Marathon Course:  1 figure 8 loop.  Starting at the Elm Lake Pavilion, the course runs next to Elm Lake  towards the beautiful SpillwayTrail then winding around 40-Acre Lake before heading back past the starting area.  As you pass the starting area on your left, you will continue  on to run alongside Creekfield lake, then out onto the wide gravel trails and beautiful shaded forest to the Equestrian Trails and Brazos River before heading back for 6 miles.  Your final kick will take you back past Creekfield lake to the finish line.  You will pass the start/finish line 3 times.

Marathon Course:
2 Half Marathon course loops.  You will pass the start/finish line 5 times.
50k Course:
The 50k race  will start and also follow the Marathon course but adds a challenging 2.85 mile loop on the way back in, near the windmill that the other races will not follow.  This 2.85 mile loop is challenging as it winds and dips it way through some beautiful secluded trails before it puts you back onto the Marathon Course.  See map for details. 50k loop
